HSBC – 150th Anniversary

To celebrate HSBC’s 150th Anniversary, we launched a banknote with a difference. Actually, make that two differences. It wasn’t only an unusual denomination, it was the world’s first AR banknote. When the banknote was launched it was 65x oversubscribed, with 8.75 million applications. (Not bad in a country with a population of 7 million.)
